So Superman wasn't all wrong

I guess it is possible to adjust time. This just in from "Richard Gross, a geophysicist with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California" That big earthquake a few days ago managed to Speed up the Earth! We are now hurtling through space at 3 microseconds faster than we where last week. This is no big deal to us mere mortals but I have a friend at JPL who is working on some super clock that will conquer the earth. This has to screw up his plans somewhere. The odd thing is that this has undone.

Yes I know each day is different by a few microseconds no matter what as the earth has been slowing down since the 1600's (when we started measuring) but we managed to cancel out some of that work with this quake.

In other news, the LA auto show is coming up. That is going to be a lot of fun.

Oh and I must buy one of these, because it's hard to pee in the dark, especially drunk.

A film just for me

I just saw The Hebrew Hammer for the first time. This was the best movie ever. The Godfather is great and all, but it just dosn't speak to me like this film did. If you are a gentile it will take me four hours to explain this film to you. If don't know what gentile means, you are one. Sorry, not much I can do about that.

I don't think I have laughed out loud so much at a film I watched by myself in ages.

Peace Out from The Chood!

Death, Devistation, Canon 1D Mark II

I will set the scene for you. You are a reporter / photographer. You have in your hands one of the finest pieces of Digital Photography equipment every mass produced, The Cannon 1D Mark II. You have some of the best lenses canon makes. You are on Christmas vacation in Phuket, Thailand.

The Biggest Tsunami in hundreds of years hits your beach. Do you Run or Do you take the picture of a lifetime?

This guy took the Picture

This image ran on front of both major Sydney newspapers today. That's a rare event. The Sydney Morning Herald ran it full page bleed ( which is also very rare), with just a headline " wave of devastation". The Thai gentleman in the imaged survived.

Check out the rest of his pictures.

Awash in life

It took 5 hours to get to Napa. It took 8 hours to get back. It's amazing what a little water can do. We drove through an insane amount of rain. Wipers on full and I could not see 40' in front of me save the taillights on the next car.

I had a great time in Napa. Lots of sleeping, that's always fun. Ate good food, got some very nice gifts.

back to reality, back to work.

It's a new day.

Sharp Pointy Teeth

Well claws in this case. I have been attacked by my cat... Ouch.... She drew blood from 7 different spots. Now I am not mad at her anymore for two reasons. 1. She is a cat. 2. There was a dog nearby and I was holding her at the time.

I was in the garage getting my MINI ready for the weekend drive. Checking tire pressure, tighten lug nuts, securing racing harnesses, etc. When my neighbors who will be feeding our cats and turtle came by to test what key they had. She brought her wiener dog. Now my cat could beat up this dog with out a problem. No contest. The dog is afraid of everything. The trick is my cat is also afraid of everything, so when the dog barked she freaked out and tried to get out of my arms. ...Ouch...
I didn't let go of her as I didn't want her to run away outside. So once we got close to the door I let her run inside.

Now I'm bloody and my Classic MINI of Ohio Shirt has 11 holes in it.

Way to start the morning.

DD & Alcohol

yea. we are all drunk at this point. I love working at DD.

A new day

So it's Thursday. I usually like Thursdays. I guess this weekend is Christmas. Not a huge fan of it. It could be due to the fact that I'm Jewish. I think that's a big part of it. One can only take being wished merry Christmas to so many times before they snap. I have Kevin & Bean's "Swallow my Eggnog" CD playing. Some great songs on there for my people.

If you where wondering, yes we normally eat Chinese food on Christmas. Three reasons for that,
1. It's tasty
2. It's Tradition! (see: Tevye)
3. It's Open

So what's the point of this blog? I do not know yet. I know that I will be getting a Treo650 soon that will rock. I will be able to post wireless.
