as we pass the 90 min mark I find myself tired, in pain, and fustrated. I need a nap, and some Nyquil not the crappy Nyquilthat's on shelves now, the old formula that worked. Luckily Costco's generic version uses the old formula This link talks about how crappy the new Nyquil is. The old one works so much better, I used the costco one last night and had a great sleep. Did I mention I hate sitting in classes. I do. I don't mind teaching because I am the center of attention, I am a big fan of that. I always seem to find my self asking the teach questions I know the answer to when the answer makes them or the project look bad. Part of my whole superiority complex. That and I generally think I know more than the teacher. This class is demoing a committee designed project. Since everyone had input it doesn't work for anyone. Tis life I guess.
Wow this thing is lame. There will be mocking, there has been mocking, there will be more. I want some chicken noodle soup, and a nap. I hate being sick. Karin isn't fealing well eather so it's just no fun for anyone. The cats are happy I guess, there cats, they get to sleep all day. That sound like a good plan to me. Im just still typing so not to pass out from boardem. Im so board that I am going to go fill out my timecard. yea... that board.

Sick & Tired & Stuck in training

I have a cold, I feel like crap, and I am stuck in a training meeting for a thing that doesn't even work. Not my day. On the plus side everything else is great. I just need a nap and some painkillers. Some tea wouldn't hurt. I am so glad we atleast have net access in this meeting. This stuff is so basic it's not even funny, it's sad, yea sad. Did I mention I want to take a nap. Only 2 more hours to go. Expect more posts... If I don't pass out from boredom

Greater Los Angeles Auto Show

I had a great time today at the LA auto show. I will post more pictures to our gallery soon. The GX3 from VW will be out in 2007, and I want one.

Horsepower is a Stupidity Multiplier

Let me set the stage for you, The corner of Rose and Main. Venice, CA
A Black Audi (tuned A4 or A6, custom wheels, black limo tint) is driving South East on Main st. A Silver Civic from the early 90's is going South West on Rose ave.

I am standing with a coworker at the West corner of Rose and Main waiting to cross the street.

The Audi rev'ed it's engine at the end of a yellow light, it was red by the time He was in the intersection. The Left front of the Audi hits the right front of the civic as it pulled into the intersection. The light was green for the civic.

I heard the Audi come up behind us and watched as it hit the civic. The light was clearly red for the Audi at the time of impact. The civic was going in the 15 to 20 mph range and the Audi was above 35 or 40. The civic was pushed and spun a quarter turn to the drivers left.

Now that I have set the scene for you, let me say this. It's very hard for me when I see an accident happen, I have been through many of them. Even more so when You can see it coming seconds before it happens. Those seconds go into slow motion, and as I am saying "That's going to suck" BANG! the sound of metal twisting metal. No sound of breaks though, that was one oddity. The kid in the Audi was trying to squeak past the light and gunned it, he was in a tuned tricked out car with more horsepower than he could handle and it leapt forward right into the civic. That's what happens when you watch the lights and not the traffic flow.

After the cars came to a stop and cleared the intersection I have my business card to the woman driving the civic.

No one seemed to be too hurt, they all got out of there cars a bit shaken but no trauma.

Ahh Lunchtime.... Atleast it made the walk from Baja Fresh intresting. Back to work eating at my desk.
