American Idiot

Green Day Rocks!
Karin and I spent Saturday and Sunday night seeing Green Day at the Home Depot Center in Carson. It's a nice stadium. We spent the first night up in the stands and the second down in the pit. The pit was more fun and the sound was better there.

I also seem to have come down with Bronchitis, it's not fun. Karin and I have gotten over our colds we had during Rosh Hashanah but Hers aggravated her dormant asthma and mine caused Bronchitis. Yom Kippur will be oh so fun between the wheezing and coughing. I know it's not supposed to be fun, but it is hard to search yourself for introspection when you are sick.

In other news I finished the new Orson Scott Card book "Magic Street", It was much edgier than I had expected. I liked it a lot, good charchers, well written, entertaining. It also takes place 2 miles from my house so that was a bonus. I even went to locations in the book to see them for myself.

Serenity

There are films that you see and think, wow that was good. Serenity is one of them. I have said before how much I liked the Firefly series, while I am not a browncoat (hardcore fan) I did like the show and miss it when it went away. I have to give props to all the guys at Zoic for all the hard work they put into that film. Joss did a great job on the script and the directing and the Cast was terrific. I am going to have to see this movie a 2nd time. This is good SciFi at it's best.
